According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Dubna space communications center, located in the north of Moscow Oblast, was struck. According to available information, it provides satellite telephone communications as well as television channel broadcasting via spacecraft in Earth orbit.

Strike on the Dubna Space Communications Center
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that on the night of June 21–22, a UAV strike was carried out against Russia’s Dubna space communications center. A notable feature of the center is that it is located in the north of Moscow Oblast, quite close to the Russian capital, and theoretically should be protected by its air defense system.
The center is located in the territory of the city of the same name, a satellite town of Moscow known as a site of nuclear research. It was built in 1980, with its main purpose at the time being to broadcast the Olympic Games to the entire world. However, after the Olympics ended, the two large antennas installed there were not forgotten and continued to be used for various purposes.
When satellite telephone communications began developing in Russia, their operation was largely supported through the Dubna center. For this reason, the facility was repeatedly modernized and upgraded. In particular, communication with Eutelsat spacecraft was organized through it. It is entirely possible that the center was used not only to provide civilian communications and broadcast Moscow propaganda, but also for purely military purposes.
Consequences of the Strike
It has not been reported which drones were used to strike the space communications center. The consequences of the hit, the possible number of casualties, and other details are currently being clarified. The only thing known so far is that thick smoke is rising above the facility.
Ukrainian military officials also reported a series of other strikes on Russian military facilities and critical infrastructure, including a UAV operator training center, a ferry crossing connecting occupied Crimea with Krasnodar Krai, and a bridge in the occupied part of Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
