SpaceX conducted its largest recovery operation to date, successfully retrieving the most recently launched Starship from the Indian Ocean. The spacecraft is now anticipated to undertake an extensive journey back to the United States.

Elon Musk’s enterprise is presently relocating the Starship to its primary facility in Texas. The voyage is anticipated to span several months. According to the website phys.org, SpaceX released photographs of the recovery operation near Christmas Island later this week.
The Starship, recognized as the world’s largest and most powerful rocket, was launched on July 24 from Starbase in Texas. This occasion marked the 13th test flight of a full-scale Starship. However, in contrast to all preceding flights, this instance was distinguished by the spacecraft’s successful one-hour orbit around Earth, during which it remained structurally intact.

Starship mission
Starship constitutes a crucial element of Musk’s strategy to transport individuals and equipment to Mars, with the objective of establishing a city there. However, the initial focus is on the Moon. NASA relies on Starship, in addition to Jeff Bezos’s Blue Moon lander, to facilitate the return of astronauts to the lunar surface as early as 2028.
President Donald Trump conveyed his endorsement for both initiatives during an official visit to NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston on Friday. He awarded the Congressional Space Medal of Honor to each of the four Artemis II astronauts who orbited the Moon in April.
