Epic meeting of the Moon and Falcon Heavy is caught on video

Astrophotographer John Kraus has posted a very spectacular video taken during the launch of the Falcon Heavy rocket. It demonstrates the flight of a rocket against the background of the Moon.

The launch of the Falcon Heavy took place on December 29. The rocket successfully launched the X-37B spaceplane belonging to the US Space Forces into orbit. Its side boosters returned to the spaceport and made a successful landing, the central unit was used in a one-time configuration.

The X-37B launch mission was marked not only by the successful placement of cargo, but also by a mass of very spectacular images taken by astrophotographers who followed this event. One of them was John Kraus. Thanks to a well-chosen angle, he managed to capture the flight of the Falcon Heavy against the background of the Moon.

The video made by John Kraus shows the flight of the Falcon Heavy in real time, it is made up of 20 frames. At the time of the filming, the lunar disk was 98% illuminated.
