The Association Noosphere public organization announced the start of the sixth annual Noosphere Space Art Challenge, a competition of children’s drawings on space themes. Works are accepted from March 3 to April 27. The organizers expect to set a Ukrainian record during the contest.

Children and teens ages 3 to 17 are invited to participate. The contest theme is “Expedition to Uncharted Worlds” and you need to fill in an electronic application form. Nine winners will receive gifts from the organizer.
“Share your thoughts about the most distant galaxy from the Milky Way, an incredible civilization or an intergalactic ship that makes its way through stellar nebula, a star that is bigger than the Sun, or a mysterious planet that has dozens of times more rings than Saturn,” the NGO Association Noosphere said.
There are no strict conditions regarding the techniques of execution, format, color scheme of the drawing. The main thing is to create an original work that shows the author’s vision of the theme.
It can even be done with the help of artificial intelligence: for the first time this year, the organizers have created a separate nomination specifically for this type of work. Thus, the public organization hopes not only to increase the interest of young people in Ukraine to the study of space, but also to the latest technologies by trying them in practice.
On May 16, 2025, the contest judges will select the authors of the best drawings from each age category (3-7, 8-12 and 13-17 years old) who will receive gifts. A separate award will also recognize the work in the AI category. All participants, including the most active schools, kindergartens, lyceums, along with teachers and educators, will receive diplomas for their participation.
The Noosphere Space Art Challenge is being held starting in 2019. In the previous 5 years of the initiative, 58,636 participants have joined it, 28,576 of whom participated in 2024. This number of drawings received was the motivation for the organizers to fix the record: This year the NGO Association Noosphere expects to surpass last year’s result, and therefore has applied for an award in the National Register of Records for holding the largest online competition of children’s drawings on space themes in Ukraine.
Earlier “space” contest works also became the basis for international art projects: in 2022 together with Australian author Jade Metre created the book Space Hotel “Ukraine”, and in 2023 in cooperation with French artist Julien Malland, who became known for his mural painting of a little girl with the flag of Ukraine, the organizers created a digital mosaic of children’s drawings. Noosphere Space Art Challenge is organized with the support of the co-founder of the Association Noosphere, philanthropist Max Polyakov. The competition includes participants from Ukraine, Poland, Czech Republic, Denmark, Japan, Spain, Georgia, Lithuania, Germany, Norway and the USA.
