US intelligence to declassify the whole truth about UFOs

The House of Representatives will hold a public hearing on UFOs and shed light on the greatest mystery about these mysterious objects. The UFO phenomenon has captured the public imagination for a century, but interest in “flying saucers” was intensified after the famous Roswell incident. The Subcommittee on Counterterrorism and Counterintelligence of the U.S. House of Representatives will try to shed light on UFOs at a public hearing on Tuesday, May 17. Representatives of the Pentagon and US intelligence will also testify.

“The American people expect and deserve their leaders in government and intelligence to seriously assess and respond to any potential risks to national security. Especially those that we don’t fully understand,” said Congressman Andre Carson.

UFOs are one of the greatest mysteries of our time

The greatest mystery of our time

Representative Adam Schiff, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, said that public hearings will give the public an opportunity to hear the opinion of experts on one of the greatest mysteries of our time, as well as break the vicious circle of excessive secrecy and speculation about truth and transparency. The hearing will be broadcast on the official House Intelligence channel on YouTube.

The document says that out of 144 UFO sightings in the period from 2004 to 2021, officials were able to identify with a high degree of reliability only one registered case. The rest remain unexplained today.

Many questions and few answers

Unidentified flying objects are a sci-fi assumption that aliens have been visiting Earth for a long time. They gave rise to a whole layer of conspiracy theories, pseudoscience, ufology, and even became a cultural phenomenon. With the advent of the global Internet, the scope of the topic around UFOs reached its apogee and the United States could no longer resist public pressure demanding the truth. Public indignation even caused an attempt to storm the “Zone 51” on June 27, 2019. Therefore, in 2020, the Pentagon officially published three videos of the US Navy, which for years fueled theories about UFOs. The video shows how the pilots are tracking an unidentified object in the sky.

The US military still recognized UFOs as real in the sense that they are flying objects, but they can not explain their nature. At the same time, they do not equate UFOs with aliens. Therefore, viewers should moderate any expectations about an “extraterrestrial sensation” during the hearing. Everything will be more prosaic and mundane with dry facts. The Pentagon only admitted that “there are many questions and very few answers.”
