On November 15, 2026, the Voyager 1 probe will reach a symbolic milestone, becoming the first spacecraft in history to travel a distance of one light day. On that day, it will be 25.9 billion kilometers from Earth. It took the spacecraft almost 50 years to achieve this record. Voyager 1 was launched on September 5, 1977.
