On the night of October 28–29, a partial lunar eclipse will be observed on Earth. In particular, it will be visible in Ukraine. However, the weather may well make its own adjustments. But even if clouds cover the sky, there is a great opportunity to admire this astronomical phenomenon online.
Lunar eclipse on October 28
Earthlings are preparing to watch a rare lunar eclipse. This time our moon will plunge into the shadow of the Earth, not completely, but only by 12 percent. This is due to the fact that Earth is larger than the Moon and the probability that it will only “touch” it a little is quite low.
On the night of October 28-29, it will be possible to see this astronomical phenomenon in Ukraine. According to UTC time, it will start at 10:35 p.m., and already at 11:15 p.m. it will reach a maximum and last for more than two hours. The Moon at this time will be at an altitude of 50 degrees above the horizon, and everyone will be able to admire it.
However, all this is only in theory. In practice, the weather can make its own adjustments. The sky may be covered with clouds. The light from the Moon can and will break through them, but it will not be possible to see what is happening on it.
Broadcast of the eclipse
However, do not despair. The website www.timeanddate.com has prepared its own broadcast of this event from a place where it will almost certainly be clearly visible. Therefore, everyone will be able to see the lunar eclipse if they follow this link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YHKrphbKS0
Or you can just watch it right here. By the way, if you don’t really understand astronomy and don’t understand what a lunar eclipse is in general, we recommend reading this article, which describes all this. Be sure that this event will not bring anything terrible into your life.
