Stunning video of the Falcon 9 launch against the background of a full moon

An amazing video shows how a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket flies against the background of a full moon. This sight is reminiscent of humanity’s next major destination. A video recently released by ABC News perfectly demonstrates the huge amount of energy and heat released by an orbiting rocket, distorting the image of the orange Moon in the form of small ripples in the Earth’s atmosphere.

Footage taken last week near NASA’s Kennedy Space Center shows a rocket launching from the Florida space coast to deliver a crew of four astronauts to the International Space Station as part of the Crew-5 mission. This is the fifth official mission in the SpaceX and NASA community on crew rotation involving the Crew Dragon spacecraft. The crew will replace the Crew-4 mission and extend its guard on the ISS for the next six months.

Elon Musk’s modern space capsule has become a powerful weapon of the United States in ending dependence on Russian Soyuz rockets to deliver astronauts into orbit. But, despite Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, Russian cosmonaut Anna Kikina was included in the Crew-5 mission.

The days of the International Space Station are numbered, it should be replaced in the next decade by a new private orbital station that will receive both astronauts and space tourists. But the main goal of humanity in the next decade will be the Moon. NASA has developed its Space Launch System (SLS) heavy launch platform along with the Orion capsule and lander to get there. Unfortunately, due to numerous problems and weather conditions, the start of this mega-rocket is constantly postponed.
