Ukrainian farmers have received free access to the EOSDA Crop Monitoring platform. Thanks to it, they can learn analytics data about the state of their fields, obtained from satellite images. This opportunity was provided to them by EOS Data Analytics.
Assistance to Ukrainian farmers from EOS Data Analytics
The company EOS Data Analytics, which is one of the leaders of satellite agricultural monitoring not only in Ukraine, but also in the world, decided to help domestic farmers. It is known for its ability to extract useful information for farmers from data received by spacecraft in orbit.
Recently, EOS Data Analytics has been actively using artificial intelligence and has created a platform to provide its customers with all important analytical information from EOSDA Crop Monitoring. Ukrainian farmers are provided with access to it free of charge.
EOS Data Analytics wants to support the domestic agribusiness and provide it with effective instruments for field management. Access will be provided to an area of up to 500 hectares for a period of 3 months from the date of activation.
What is EOSDA Crop Monitoring?
To get access to analytical information about the land plots they are interested in, Ukrainian farmers and agribusinesses must submit an application to EOS Data Analytics. If they need to monitor a larger area than the specified limit of 500 hectares, they can specify this directly in the form. The company’s managers will consider such applications separately.
EOSDA Crop Monitoring is a platform with instruments that allows you to monitor the condition of crops, clearly identify the stages of plant development and highlight the smallest changes. Vegetation and productivity maps available in the system using vegetation indices help identify factors such as the presence of pests, weeds, lack of water, and the like.
Based on this data, a solution can be developed to prevent or overcome these problems. Algorithmic disease risk analysis enables farmers to anticipate certain plant diseases and take timely measures to preserve crops.
The weather feature, which covers both historical data and 14-day forecasts, allows you to better plan field work. Scouting helps owners send scouts, who check data on the spot and add information to the application, to specific points on the field, saving time and money for farms.
All these data will be useful to Ukrainian farmers during the sowing season. They will help to avoid possible crop troubles not only in 2024, but also in subsequent years.
