Buzz Aldrin in honor of the 54th anniversary of the launch of Apollo 11 puzzles the Internet community

NASA legend former astronaut Buzz Aldrin shared a photo of him having a hearty breakfast. This exquisite-looking breakfast was dedicated to the 54th anniversary of the launch of Apollo 11 – the historic landing on the Moon, during which Aldrin and his fellow astronaut Neil Armstrong took “one small step for man, one giant leap for all mankind”.

But what really caught the attention of the Internet community — apart from Aldrin’s manic gaze into the camera — is the fact that the 93-year-old space veteran wears not one, but as many as three wristwatches. Seriously, see for yourself.

Aldrin has worn three watches over the years. According to a 2009 article, he wears two Omega watches on one wrist and a third on the other. The fact is that he is the ambassador of this famous brand.

“See you need an odd number (of watches) in case there is a discrepancy so you can sort out which one is what. We’re not going to send an even number of people to Mars because then you can have a 50/50 disagreement,” explains Aldrin. You can’t argue with such logic.

According to Internet detectives, in a photo he posted on Sunday, Aldrin is wearing a commemorative Moon watch and another Omega Speedmaster X-33 Marstimer watch on his left wrist.

If you look closely, you can see that at least two watches on his left wrist show the time to the minute, just after 9 a.m. However, whether this coincides with the time when the photo was taken remains unclear.

In short, it seems that Buzz Aldrin just can’t decide which watch he likes more, so he wears all three at the same time.
