SpaceX Raptor engines compared to the army of killer robots

This week, Elon Musk posted a tweet about Raptor 2 engines for the next-generation Starship spacecraft. In the publication, the founder of SpaceX posted a photo with a batch of ready-made rocket engines, each producing 230 tons of force. They were assembled together at the Starbase headquarters in Texas.

An impressive row of engines with metal bell-shaped bodies, as it turned out, more resembled the appearance of the Dalek invasion forces from the long-running British science fiction series Doctor Who. Unless they lack plungers and a fierce desire to destroy humanity. This similarity was found by many users on Twitter.

“Don’t try to fool us. These are not rocket engines, these are Dalek prototypes! Getting ready for mass production!” — the user Madgician commented on the photo of Elon Musk.

“Anyone else feelin’ that vibe?” wrote Cassandra Graham on Twitter, attaching an illustration of those same Daleks.

In fairness, it should be noted that the powerful Raptor 2 engines and the fictional Daleks are quite different. The Raptors 2 engines are designed to launch the Starship heavy spacecraft into orbit. The goal of the project is to deliver a person to the Moon and Mars, gradually colonizing the Solar system. In turn, the Daleks seek to destroy everything that is not a Dalek.
