Falcon Heavy has a height of 70 meters and its mass when fueled is 1,420 tons. The rocket consists of a Falcon 9 first stage used as the center unit, two additional Falcon 9 first stages serving as side boosters, and a second stage. The side boosters and center unit are reusable and capable of soft landing after separation.

The rocket made its first flight in 2018. Then it sent Ilon Musk’s Tesla Roadster into interplanetary space. Since then, Falcon Heavy has flown into space nine more times. The tenth anniversary flight took place on June 25, 2024. The rocket successfully launched the five-ton GOES-U weather satellite into geostationary orbit. Here is a selection of the best images of its launch.
