Delta Aquarids Peak

The Delta Aquarids meteor shower is a medium-activity shower that can produce up to 20 meteors per hour at its peak. It originates from debris left behind by the Marsden and Kracht comets. The shower is active annually from July 12 to August 23, and this year its peak will occur on the night of July 28 to 29.

The crescent Moon will set early in the evening, leaving the night sky dark — creating excellent conditions for observation. The best viewing is after midnight from a dark location, far from artificial lights. Meteors will radiate from the Aquarius constellation, but can appear anywhere in the sky.
